Colombia Exploring is a local tour agency founded in 2015, based in Cali and focused on the culture and natural beauty of Valle del Cauca and its surroundings.

From city walks and traditional food to cloud forests, birdwatching and river adventures, our experiences bring you closer to the people and places that make this region special.

Rooted in local communities

Our journeys connect travelers with rural and Afro-Colombian communities, sharing their knowledge, food, customs and history. These encounters help generate income for local families alongside their agricultural work.

Tour duration and inclusions vary by experience. Check the individual tour page, then contact us to confirm availability, the itinerary and a current quote before booking.

Booking & payment

For general tours, a 50% deposit is required to book. The remaining 50% is due 15 days before departure. Bookings made 15 days or fewer before departure require full payment at booking.

Payment methods: PayPal, transfer to a Davivienda savings account, or Nequi. Contact us to confirm availability and receive payment instructions.

Cancellations & refunds

General tour cancellations made more than 14 days before departure receive a full refund. Cancellations made 14 days or fewer before departure, and no-shows, receive no refund; 100% of the total tour price is retained.

Araucana Culinary Journey: separate terms

Araucana’s fixed-date culinary tour requires full payment at booking. Payments are non-refundable. The general tour deposit and cancellation policies above do not apply to this tour.

Travel responsibly

Respect local traditions and wildlife, use water and energy thoughtfully, and help keep the places you visit free of litter. Colombia Exploring’s published commitments include protecting children from exploitation and conserving natural and cultural heritage.

Sustainability and child protection

Our sustainability commitments cover energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, and the protection of natural and cultural heritage. We oppose trafficking in protected wildlife and the illegal use of natural resources.

Colombia Exploring rejects the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents. We do not promote, facilitate, or provide information about activities that exploit minors. We support protecting children from sexual violence and reporting suspected exploitation to the relevant Colombian authorities.

These commitments reflect the regulations cited in our existing policy: Article 44 of Colombia’s Constitution, Laws 679 of 2001 and 1336 of 2009, and Law 17 of 1981.
